Makes cool designs, good for storage of play doh tools..
I got this play doh storing bucket to try out. Some of the features are as follows:-

1) The set comes with a bucket & lid, 2 circular moulds of yellow color, some play doh moulds of car, rabbit, man, tree, sea horse.I have attached pictures (as the product description does not show the moulds clearly)

2) I use this bucket to store all my child's play doh tools, moulds and created play doh stuff.

3) On one of the circular mould there are different shapes like star, heart, circle, flower, oval to create cool designs. On another, there are moulds of sea animals like fishes, octopus, sea horse, star fish, dolphin and many more.

4) When the circular moulds are inverted, they serve as a storage box for storing all the play doh creations.

5) As the set does not come with play doh, I and my kiddo used our existing play doh to create different shapes and sea animals (attached some pictures)
just a storage container
My kids are huge fans of Play Doh. They would play with it for hours nearly every day if they could. The concept of this bucket is a good one. A bigish bucket to hold all the Play Doh accessories. It isn't well-made, though. It feels like cheap plastic and the inside piece with the plastic cover feels like it might not last for too long.

There is no Play Doh in this bucket--just a few little accessories and the storage container. Personally, I feel like adding 2-3 small containers of Play Doh would make this much better. I think it is a little on the expensive side for a storage container.
Cute, fun, good quality - could be bigger.

This bucket is pretty awesome. My 4 year old grabbed it right away, dumped everything out and starting playing with all the cutters and molds. It didn't matter that it didn't come with play-doh - she's got plenty of that from various sets already. And that's where this bucket is perfect: it collects together all the little bits from the various sets your kids have collected. And, for some reason, my kid finds it fun to put everything away in this giant bucket.

The details:

It's not giant - probably 2.5 gallon-ish size - but it's certainly ample for play-doh related toys.
I like the 2 tray inserts. They have molds on the bottom of the trays - which would be annoying for adults, but kids just dump everything out anyway. And there is 1 cover that could be used to contain the items stored in a tray.

There are a bunch of little shaped cutters as well.

The only weakness to the design is that the carry handle is attached to the top cover rather than the bucket itself... so if you don't get it latched, you could have a mess. So far this hasn't been a problem though! The latches are easy for my 4 year old to open and close securely.
Nice storage, lousy tools, no packed in Doh

The bucket itself is nice enough - a sturdy thickness of plastic with a top that snaps on, and included a hinged handle on the inside of the lid (not on the outside). On the interior are two circular trays with holes in the middle - one with a lid and one without, for storing tools and, I suppose, loose Play-Doh (with the Tupperware-style lid).

Once the trays are inserted into the bucket, the bottom of the bucket and the middle holes allow for storage of Play-Doh container. We have four containers, and they all fit. I would say you could probably fit 6-7 containers on the bottom of the bucket with perhaps another two in the middle.

The tools themselves are an assortment of cookie cutters, a dull knife (nothing that would hurt the kiddos) and an extruder. There appear to be a variety of cookie cutters, and we did not get the exact ones pictured on the label. The cookie cutters work fine. The trays have indentations for creating molds.

The extruder was really lackluster - instead of the hinged dealie you might recall from your own childhood, this is a sort of cylindrical piece that you push Play-Doh through with, like a syringe. It was too difficult for our kids to push (4.5 and nearly 2), and Play-Doh kept getting caked into the extruder around the syringe piece.

In addition to the bad extruder, I think what is really kind of weird about this set is the lack of Play-Doh. You'd think that they would throw in one can, at least.

The bucket is nice, but the tools are a letdown, and the lack of at least one can of packed-in Play-Doh makes this an iffy buy. We will definitely use this to store our Play-Doh, and the kids seem to like the cookie cutters. But they don't know what they're missing on the extruder - which is why I'll write the review.
Loving the containment and organization!
In the never ending chaos of life with a toddler and a preschooler, keeping their toys organized and picked up is almost impossible! Any help I can get is much appreciated, and this bucket truly helped!

It seems as if at this age, Play-Doh sets are THE toy for any gift giving occasion. We had so many bits and pieces and tubs of dough that they were taking over the toy corner. We spent some time sorting and deleting, and now there is just this super sized tub sitting nicely on their shelf.

The bright red lid seals down on the yellow bucket with two snap clamps and it holds securely, even fully loaded. We store 9 5oz (that's the regular size) tubs of Play-Doh in the bottom.
The next layer has separated compartments that can hold 8 more colors of Doh, as it has a sealing lid. Or, you use it to store tools. We do both. Flipping it upside down reveals fun molds to use.

The top layer is an open caddy where we store more sculpting and shaping tools. The bucket comes with 6 Cookie Cutters, 1 Extruder, 1 Knife and 1 Ruler. All of them are sturdy and well made and have worked well with our little ones.

I love the containment and organization this bucket gives to one of our kids' favorite toys. But it gets four stars out of five for the total lack of any tubs of Play-Doh. One wonders how much it would have hurt their bottom line to include a few 2 oz tubs?
