Wonderful product, great fun for my toddler!

The picture is a little misleading in that if you use the little salon chair the animals hair will not grow that long. However, you don't have to use the salon chair. My 3 year old daughter loves it. It's definitely worth the money. :)
This is THE WORST Ever!

I'm going to channel my inner John Oliver here: "This is the worst. THE. WORST." It makes a horrible, awful mess - that is assuming that you have a child Hercules who has the physical strength to push down with enough force to even get it to work in the first place. And, if that happens, you get a little bit of "hair" coming out - nothing like the photo. The included Playdoh cans don't contain enough to create the long hair shown in the photos. What comes out is fairly short "hair stubble" that, when your child touches, will magically spread everywhere in a 10 foot radius and make a big mess.
THIS IS THE WORST. My kids love other Playdoh sets, so the company should be ashamed of themselves for putting out such a shoddy product.
bad manufacture run...doesnt work

well the project is totally fun for all. BUT it seems it was not made properly. The mirror and razor piece are supposed to fit onto one spot, but there is no whole for them. Ok , no big deal. BUT the blue piece that is supposed to push the play dough through the other piece in order to push out the hair is also made incorrectly. It is about one half inch to short (because that part is pushed down into the tray to hold in on).
So, I can see how someone who doesn't understand the product would make it like that in China. So, it is really hard to push down with your hands, a dad will have to do that, or a really strong mom. If you use the chair to push it down it as it was originally intended and shoes on the photo, it wont grow but a max of 1 millimeter of hair...which stinks! We bought two and had to return them because my fingers are not strong enough to push it down without the seat
An Unbelievable Mess

I strongly advise you NOT to buy this product. The thing is really cool. It makes lots of longish hair on the pets. But once you cut it there is a TERRIBLE mess. The strands of hair are very fine (for play doh) and you end up with little pieces of play doh all over. These teeny pieces roll and seem to migrate all over the room.
Play doh can be messy, and I accept that, but this was beyond ridiculous!! Also, the play doh sticks in the holes of the toy, which is bad enough, but it's worse when you get them out because it contributes to the mess. I bought the Play Doh Animal Activities Barnyard Pal Set at the same time and was much happier with it. It's the same basic idea with a fraction of the mess.
Cute idea but horribly made. Did they even try this thing out?

Wish I'd seen the reviews on this...as all others have said, it's a joke. Cute idea and design, but horrific execution! The post that pushes the Play Doh out does not fit and hardly pushes any "hair" out, the force needed to push the chair down is enough to cause even adults to strain their wrists, and there are also no places to put the pieces which appear to belong somewhere. I am also disappointed that the price I paid was over $5 higher than at Target, even though the packaging says it's a Target exclusive. Biggest problem is my kid loves it even though it's horribly made and not worth even the lower Target price, let alone what it's going for on Amazon. :(
